Ride The Lights Only At Coronado Golf Cars!
Looking for a festive new tradition this year? Look no further! The only thing better than cruising around our beautiful island in your own golf cart is doing it at night and watching the scenery light up with joyous Christmas decorations, hot cocoa in hand!
Reserving your night ride is easy, and exclusive to Coronado Golf Cars! Read below for more information.
STEP #1 – RESERVE YOUR GOLF CART
Spaces fill up quick! Luckily, reserving your golf cart is easy with the help of our friendly staff. Once you’ve decided on your date, contact our office and we’ll help you out with the rest! Upon booking, you’ll decide what time you’d like to start your cart ride. We book in 10 minute intervals beginning at 5:00pm, with the last carts going out at 6:00pm. The cart rides for Ride the Lights run for 90 minutes, so the latest return time is 7:30pm! Reservations are required for Ride the Lights.
As a friendly reminder, children 8 and under must be in a booster or car seat (which we provide free of charge on a first come, first serve basis), and children under the age of 2 cannot ride on the golf cart. Drivers must be 18 or older with a valid license 🙂

STEP #2 – ARRIVE FOR YOUR NIGHT RIDE
Reserved your cart? Great! When the day arrives, we recommend making some room in your schedule to find parking outside our office. There is parking along Isabella Avenue and on nearby residential streets as well. Please arrive on time so you can enjoy your full 90 minutes and see all of the lights! 🙂
If you haven’t filled out your golf cart waiver before coming in, no worries! You can fill it out inside our office. ALL drivers will need to fill out a waiver and bring their driver’s license. We’ll also need to put a form of payment on file before you go!
STEP #3 – ENJOY SOME COMPLIMENTARY HOT COCOA!
Every rental comes with complimentary hot cocoa! Get creative with sprinkles, mini marshmallows, and whipped cream – grab a cup, mix it up, and cozy up in your cart!
STEP #4 RIDE THE LIGHTS!!!
We’ll give you a walkthrough on how to drive the cart before you head out, and turn on any Christmas lights on your cart. Make sure everyone stays buckled up during the ride!
Feel free to refer to the map of Coronado we’ll give you – there’s a few Christmas light hotspots we can point out, but don’t forget to explore the island and see what decorations you can discover. More and more decorations go up everyday!
Step #5 RETURN YOUR CART
After coasting through Coronado, return your cart to 1017 Isabella Avenue. Your ride time is 90 minutes (1 hour and 30 minutes), so plan accordingly!

RIDE THE LIGHTS FAQ’S
Q1: Are there a lot of Christmas lights up already?
A1: Yes! When you come in, we can mark some of our favorite spots to see lights around the island on your map!
Q2: Is Ride the Lights a guided tour, or do we get to drive our own course?
A2: Ride the Lights is NOT a guided tour, so you’ll be able to rent your cart and explore Coronado on your own (within the boundaries)!
Q3: What are the boundaries for the golf cart?
A3: You have to stay in Coronado, so you cannot go over the Coronado Bridge, or past the Hotel del Coronado as the Strand Freeway begins there. You are, however, more than welcome to park at the Hotel and explore it!
Q4: How long are the cart rides for Ride the Lights?
A4: The cart rides are 90 minutes long for Ride the Lights!
Q5: Is there still availability for Ride the Lights?
A5: We do still have availability, but spots are filling up quick! We recommend reserving as soon as possible so everyone gets a chance to enjoy the lights!
Q6: What is the latest time I can reserve a cart?
A6: The last time slot you can reserve for Ride the Lights is 6:00pm. The duration for the cart rides is 90 minutes, so if you book for 6:00pm make sure you arrive right on time so you can enjoy the full experience, as the last return time is 7:30!
Q7: What are the prices for Ride the Lights?
A7: Our prices for Ride the Lights are $79 for a 4 passenger cart, $99 for a 6 passenger cart, and $119 for an 8 passenger cart!
Q8: Can I walk in or do I have to reserve a cart?
A8: Reservations must be made for ride the lights! Walk ins are welcome during daytime business hours from 10-5 based on availability.
