The Islander Dinky Donuts

If you find yourself on Orange Avenue before the bustling afternoon crowds roll in, make sure to stop by The Islander’s Dinky Donut Shack. From 7am – 11am daily, this is the best spot for the cutest, tastiest, and most unique mini donuts you’ll find on island. So far, the fruity pebbles donut seems to be a favorite here with the Coronado Golf Cars team. You’ll find anything from classic sprinkle, to oreo, to maple bacon – so come hungry! And leave room for some of their handcrafted beverages to pair with your donuts. The Islander itself is also a great laid-back seafood restaurant to visit later in the day for lunch or dinner .

Better Buzz Coffee

Coronado’s newest coffee shop exceeds expectations with every blended concoction and tasty sandwich they serve up daily. Some staff faves include a white mocha, vanilla buzz, and their turkey pesto sandwich. As we head into (slightly) cooler temps, Better Buzz has rolled out their fall menu! I recently tried out the pumpkin spice buzz (a “buzz” is a blended drink), and it immediately became a seasonal favorite. But, my day-to-day go to is an iced lavender tea latte for sure! Another favorite alongside the turkey pesto sandwich is definitely the ham and swiss croissant sandwich – it’s flaky, warm, and delicious.

Rosemary Trattoria

This quaint Italian eatery on 1st and Orange is a must try! I personally love their margherita pizza; chicken parmigiana and scampi are some other menu standouts. The pasta here is amazing as well, and it’s made fresh in-house. Sip your way through their impressive cocktail menu – pair a bellini or chocolate martini with some brunch items while eating al fresco. Rosemary Trattoria also has an amazing happy hour – 50% all wines, beers, and appetizers from opening to 5pm! This is definitely my favorite Italian restaurant on island – its cozy interior and friendly staff welcomes you in and you’ll want to come back for more as soon as you’re done.

Seaside Papery Fall Items

Count on Seaside Papery to have the cutest items on island. Of course, you’ll find some seasonal spooky greeting cards as we head into the fall season, but there’s fun at every corner in this local gem! Seaside’s Jellycat selection never disappoints. I recently picked up “ooky bat” and he’s a super cute spooky addition to have around! If you’re on the search for some home decor, take your pick from their selection of decorative, earth-toned, velvet pumpkins. Simmered Cider scented candles will bring a slice of cozy fall vibes to your home (since 70 and sunny coronado weather isn’t reflective of a typical autumn). Make sure to check out Seaside Papery whether you’re treating others or yourself!
